题  目: Comparisons of different lower divertor geometry candidates for EAST by using SOLPS-ITER simulations

摘 要:

Divertor is a critical component in exhausting power and particle fluxes from the hot core plasma for present/future Tokamaks. The geometry shape of divertors can play essential roles in protection of surrounding walls, impurity screening, hydrogen recycling, and pumping. In order to fulfill the requirement of future high-power and long-pulse H-mode discharges over 1000s in EAST, the present lower graphite divertor will be upgraded to a tungsten (W) divertor. The first priority required for the new divertor is relatively lower power loads onto the targets, while sufficient pumping performance for particle control and lower W-sputtering rate are also essential factors. Several related cases are compared in aspects of density threshold for detachment, pumping capability, and power exhaust by using the SOLPS-ITER code suite.

题  目: Progress and Remaining Issues in Integrated Modeling for Core Plasma in CFETR

摘 要:

Core-Pedestal integrated modeling shows that it is necessary to operate with high density to meet the high fusion power target (~1GW) for CFETR. High density operation require efficient current drive to sustain the plasma current in both the hybrid scenario and steady-state scenarios. Steady-state scenario is designed with high poloidal beta condition and a localized reversed magnetic shear, which reduces the energy/particle transport in the intermediate radial region. Composition of helicon current drive, electron cyclotron current drive and bootstrap current can sustain the localized reversed magnetic shear, the location of which is optimized to make the normalized beta lower than the empirical limit without wall (4li).The ongoing works include to review the transport of fuel ions and impurities, the stabilization of global resistive modes and the nonlinear behavior of edge localized modes in these scenarios.

  摘  要:In Japan, the Joint Special Design Team for Fusion DEMO contributes to develop JA DEMO as the national team. Recently, plasma theory and simulation working group has drawn up an intermediate term research plan to contribute the conceptual design of JA DEMO. In this presentation, we will briefly introduce the activity of plasma theory and simulation research for DEMO.

摘  要:An interplay between fluctuation driven toroidal axisymmetric flows (

convective cell modes) and resistive ballooning mode turbulence after the pedestal collapse is numerically studied by a four-field reduced MHD model in the BOUT++ framework. The strong flow shear sup- presses the radial transport of pressure filaments, and the pressure profile in the pedestal region is partially recovered. As a result, a secondary instability is quasi-linearly excited, which yields a secondary collapse. The subsequent damped oscillation is also analyzed by phase diagram analysis.

题目:First application of the self-consistently coupled full-wave/Fokker-Planck analysis for the modeling of the LHW experiment on EAST

Lower hybrid wave is the most important auxiliary heating and current drive tool on EAST.  Both ray-tracing and full wave codes have been used to model the LHW physics for the EAST experiments. Recently the self-consistently coupled full-wave/Fokker-Planck analysis has been successfully carried out for this domain. The process of the iteration between the full wave code(TORLH) and the Fokker-Planck code(CQL3D) will be introduced. The results including the spectrums with poloidal broadening, the wave electric fields, the power density profiles and the electron distribution function will be presented..
